Queer: The Space Between Us

Duration
85 min.
Tip from Cineville: Uppsala Kortfilmfestival

Six queer short films exploring what unfolds in the space between people. They speak of a longing for intimacy and connection, but also of the uncertainty of being seen, desired, or misunderstood. The body becomes both a site of intimacy and something shaped by the gaze of others. The films explore how difficult it is to truly know another person — or to allow oneself to be known. Sometimes, desire emerges in the distance between two people. Sometimes, that distance is where loneliness takes hold. And sometimes, it is where connection becomes possible.
