Tip from Cineville: Malmö Queer Film Festival

Go Fish (1994), is one of the landmark films of early lesbian independent cinema. Directed by Rose Troche and written with star Guinevere Turner, it came out of the New Queer Cinema movement of the 1990s. Made on a very small budget, the film captures the everyday lives, friendships, and dating dramas of a group of lesbians in Chicago. More than 30 years later, it remains an important snapshot of queer community and one of the films that helped bring lesbian stories into independent film culture.
