Unifrance Award Winners 2026
French fiction has always been prominent on the international short film scene. They’re higher in numbers and are seen and appreciated more widely than most others. This programme of award winners reflects the success story, while also pointing forward to new creative expressions.

Unifrance is the organisation in charge of promoting French cinema and audiovisual content internationally. Prix Unifrance du court-métrage was created 24 years ago, shedding a light every year on the new generation of filmmakers at the beginning of their careers. The four award winners this year were selected by an industry jury from 18 fresh short films released in 2026, ranging from fiction, animation, documentary to experimental. With this selection, UniFrance celebrates the creativity of French cinema, a diversity of themes and styles, and a strong belief in the short film format.
