Tip from Cineville: Uppsala Kortfilmfestival

Welcome to an evening about human connection to planet Earth. Through four gripping short films, we examine the intersection of Earth’s forces and human stories. Join us on an Arctic journey to Longyearbyen, the northernmost city on Earth, through the harsh reality of coal mining in Afghanistan, to landscapes where the ash from volcanic eruptions is still warm. How does the Earth shape us, and how do we reshape the Earth? No prior knowledge is required to be inspired by human stories intertwined with the forces of our planet. Researchers from the Department of Earth Sciences at Uppsala University will be present to offer perspectives and answer your questions along the way.
